چکیده

This study evaluated the effect of biofloc technology (BFT) on protein utilization and growth performance Oreochromis niloticus fry under green house for 14 weeks a 3 × 2 factorial design involving three crude (CP) levels (22, 27 35%) two different carbon sources. Molasses glucose were independently used as sources in BFT tanks with aeration using air stones. Mono-sex fish mean weight 0.07 ± 0.01 g total length 13.1 mm stocked at density 1 per litre. The fishes fed commercial diets that randomly assigned triplicates, control treatment being 35% CP. Feeding was done twice daily 5% body weight, while sludge siphoned weekly. Calculations specific rate (SGR), efficiency ratio (PER), food conversion (FCR), survival measurement water quality parameters also performed. Protein had significant effects (p < 0.05) dissolved oxygen (DO) NH3 interaction pH. There significantly higher FCR (0.89) than (0.56–0.57) molasses (0.59–0.63) bioflocs; furthermore, it between PER (8.42) (5.03–7.99) (4.81–7.23) bioflocs. No interactions > recorded PER. However, affected by dietary level, source, or their observed SGR condition factor. lower (2.91) (3.52–3.59) (3.49-3.56) factor (0.81) (1.72–1.83) (1.82–1.84) Survival rates (>97%) (>94%) value 74.7%. increased efficiency, which improved enhanced even level. Further studies should evaluate applicability outdoor cultures.

Replacement of fish meal by plant protein sources in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) diet: growth performance and utilization

The nutritional suitability and cost effectiveness of rice polish and mustard oil cake as protein sources in the diet of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were studied. This study introduced rice polish as a plant protein source for Nile tilapia and three diets were formulated using rice polish (0, 10 and 20%) and mustard oil cake (10.0, 17.6 and 22.0%) for a feeding trail of eight weeks to ...

EFFECT OF PROTEIN LEVEL AND STOCKING DENSITY ON GROWTH PERFORMANCE, SURVIVAL RATE, FEED UTILIZATION AND BODY COMPOSITION OF NILE TILAPIA FRY (Oreochromis niloticus L.)

This study was carried out to evaluate the growth response of Nile tilapia; O. niloticus L. to dietary protein levels at two stocking densities. This study was bifactorial designed (3 protein levels × 2 stocking densities). Fish (1.8-2.5 g/fish) was randomly distributed into the aquaria at a rate of 15 or 30 fish/100 L. The temperature was adjusted at 27±1oC. Fish of each density were fed eithe...

Effect of Different Levels of Dietary Supplementation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae on Growth Performance, Feed Utilization and Body Biochemical Composition of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Fingerlings

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different levels of dietary supplementation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae on growth performance, feed utilization and body biochemical composition of Oreochromis niloticus fingerlings. Four diets containing supplementation at levels of 0, 0.5, 1 and 2 g kg−1 were fed to fingerlings of Nile tilapia (5.01±0.21 g) in four replicate tanks twice ...

Determining the appropriate level of protein in diet of Cyprinus carpio fry based on some parameters of growth, blood and serum biochemistry in biofloc system

The present study was conducted to determine the appropriate level of protein in diet of Cyprinus carpio fry based on biofloc technology. The experiment was designed based on triplicate of four bioflocs treatments (BFT) and one control treatment (CW). 450 specimens of C. carpio fry with mean weight of 17±0.08 g were stocked in 15 fiberglass tanks. Fish were fed in biofloc treatments with diets ...

Effect of reducing 3.2% dietary protein level on the growth performance and immunity of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) with supplementation of multi amino acids

Reducing dietary protein content in fish feeds will reduce cost of production if growth performance can be maintained. In this study, we assessed the effects of reduced dietary protein content from 33.5% to 27.4% with ideal amino acids profile on the growth, immune parameters, intestinal microvilli length and total ammonia nitrogen discharge of tilapia. After 8 weeks of feeding, growth performa...
